Hands on with the Spotify for Android update preview
For me, Spotify is how I listen to probably 75% of any music at the moment. While the service — and for that matter price — is superb, the Android application has definitely been lacking. There have been rumblings for a while about an update, and then just like that it dropped Continue reading

We've just gotten a good look at the HTC One X case that's been floating around here at the Frequencies event. The bottom line is that it's meant to really not meant to break up the lines of the One X. Continue reading

First look at HTC Media Link HD
HTC's new Media Link accessory — a Wifi Direct device that lets you easily connect your phone to a big-screen TV — has been seen in fits and starts over the past couple months. One of the shining features is that it's not just mirroring what's on your device. It's a multitasker, so you can stream a movie to your TV while doing something entirely different on your phone Continue reading

HTC One X and One S Wifi gotcha down? Give this a try
Some folks are reporting that their shiny new HTC One X and One S phones are experiencing a rather irritating Wifi bug. The glitch in question results in the phones disconnecting from certain Wifi networks while idle, and being unable to reconnect until the phone is woken up. Hopefully HTC will have a fix ready for customers soon — we're hearing that it's no longer an issue in the recently-leaked One X 1.28 firmware — but in the meantime there's a pretty easy work-around for both phones. Manually assigning your phone an IP address on your Wifi network, rather than using DHCP , seems to squish the issue Continue reading

Google Wallet updated with improvements and enhancements across the board
Google Wallet has seen another update, and this time Google has made all sorts of improvements and enhancements to the app. Per the change log in the Google Play store: Prepaid Card top up forms more flexible Citi Mastercard management improvements UI improvements Privacy enhancements Bug fixes Updated Terms of Service The most interesting, on the surface anyway, would be the UI improvements. They must be very subtle, because we're not really seeing any Continue reading

Samsung Galaxy Nexus my way: Joshua Muñoz
Seeing as how we've got this new rootin', tootin', fancypants series showing off how us Android Central staffers set up our phones, I figured I'd volunteer myself, write this little doodad, and step up to the plate. Continue reading

Android Central weekly photo contest winners: Self-portrait
As usual, you guys floored us with all the submissions for last week's photo contest . It's solid proof that Android lovers also enjoy taking pictures and sharing them with the world, so manufacturers and app developers better step it up and give us even more love. All the pictures were awesome, and we wish we could say every single was was the winner, but that's not how contests work Continue reading

OMGPOP detail forthcoming update to Draw Something
The latest “must-have” app on the block, is without question OMGPOP's insanely addictive Draw Something .
