DirecTV Bringing HBO Go and MAX Go to Android Later This Year

DirecTV is set to bring new mobile content options to their consumers as they have announced HBO Go and MAX Go, services that should bring you over 1800 titles worth of entertainment from movies to television shows. The service will first be launched for PC, but tucked away in the press release is a line confirming that the service will be going mobile sometime later this year.And – you guessed it – one of those mobile platforms will be Android. The press release mentions that users will be able to watch their favorite shows after it airs on television. Continue reading

More countries, more sellers, more buyers

According to Android developers, 20 more countries have been added to the list of developers that can sell paid apps on Android Market. Additionally, over the next 2 weeks, users in 18 more countries will be able to purchase paid apps from Android Market. Today’s additions included Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan. This is good news for Android, as it is continuing to grow and improve on an international scale. Continue reading
